Job Description
Maramer Contracting Company is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Architectural Engineer – Tendering & Bidding to join our Tendering & Bidding Department at our Head Office in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in architectural estimation, tender preparation, BOQ analysis, subcontractor/vendor coordination, cost evaluation and value engineering, with proven exposure to building and construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
Review tender documents, drawings, specifications and BOQs.
Verify and restructure BOQs and identify missing items, discrepancies and scope gaps.
Prepare detailed architectural quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
Obtain, review and compare quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
Prepare technical and commercial comparison sheets.
Support tender pricing, cost evaluation and bid preparation.
Identify opportunities for value engineering and cost optimization.
Review tender risks, exclusions, assumptions and commercial exposures.
Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement and Commercial teams during tender preparation.
Prepare technical clarifications and follow up on tender queries.
Assist in preparing complete tender submission packages.
Support post-tender clarifications, negotiations and finalization until contract award.
Maintain accurate tender records and ensure submissions are completed within required deadlines.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture Engineering.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in architectural tendering, estimation or technical office activities.
- Strong experience in building and construction projects.
- Good knowledge of BOQ preparation, quantity take-off and tender analysis.
- Experience reviewing architectural drawings, specifications and scope of work.
- Experience obtaining and evaluating subcontractor and supplier quotations.
- Good understanding of cost estimation, value engineering and tender risk assessment.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit/BIM and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tenders and meet tight submission deadlines.
- Saudi/GCC experience is preferred.
