Lead Planning Engineer
Key Responsibilities
Lead the planning and scheduling activities for the overall project.
Develop and maintain the baseline master schedule using Primavera P6.
Monitor actual progress against planned progress and identify delays, critical activities, and schedule risks.
Prepare 2-week/3-week look-ahead schedules, recovery plans, and mitigation strategies.
Coordinate with Construction, Technical, QA/QC, MEP, Procurement, Commercial, and Subcontractor teams.
Review subcontractor schedules and ensure alignment with the approved master programme.
Analyze project delays, critical paths, float, and schedule impacts.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports and management dashboards.
Support EOT claims, delay analysis, time impact analysis, and recovery programmes.
Track engineering, procurement, material delivery, construction, testing, commissioning, and handover milestones.
Conduct progress meetings with Client, Consultant, and project teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- 12–15+ years of planning/scheduling experience in major construction projects.
- Strong experience in high-rise towers, 5-star hotels, luxury hospitality, or large mixed-use projects.
- Advanced knowledge of Primavera P6 and project planning tools.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, productivity, resource loading, and critical path analysis.
- Experience with delay analysis, EOT, recovery schedules, and progress measurement.
- Excellent reporting, analytical, coordination, and communication skills.
- Saudi/GCC experience preferred.
- Candidates currently available in Saudi Arabia are preferred.
