Senior Civil Engineer

Job Description

The Senior Civil Engineer will lead and manage civil engineering projects from detailed design through completion, ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and client requirements. This role involves overseeing design, planning, and execution of infrastructure projects, providing technical expertise, and mentoring junior engineers.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and monitor project execution to ensure progress aligns with the approved baseline schedule.
Track procurement activities for civil and structural materials, identifying and managing long-lead items.
Prepare and communicate project progress reports, highlighting delays, risks, and mitigation strategies.
Coordinate multidisciplinary project activities to ensure seamless integration across all disciplines.
Lead contractor meetings to review progress, resolve conflicts, address obstacles, and implement effective solutions.
Identify, assess, and manage project risks through continuous monitoring and mitigation planning.
Oversee project closeout and handover phases, ensuring all deliverables are completed and documented.
Review and validate structural and infrastructure designs, calculations, shop drawings, material submissions, and method statements to ensure compliance with codes and standards.
Ensure quality, safety, and regulatory compliance through site inspections, defect identification, non-conformance management, and adherence to project specifications.
Provide technical leadership and stakeholder management by mentoring engineering teams, coordinating with contractors and stakeholders, resolving technical queries, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
