Role Purpose: The Civil Engineer II is responsible for assisting in the design, analysis, and execution of civil engineering projects. This role focuses on supporting senior engineers in delivering high-quality engineering solutions while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Civil Engineer II will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to contribute to various infrastructure projects. Key Activities: Assist in the design and development of civil engineering projects, including roadways, drainage systems, and utilities. Perform basic engineering calculations and modelling to support project activities. Prepare and review project documentation, including reports, specifications, and drawings. Ensure that all documentation complies with relevant codes and standards. Conduct site visits and inspections to gather data and assess project conditions. Assist in evaluating project feasibility and identifying potential challenges. Work closely with project managers, senior engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective project execution. Participate in project meetings to discuss progress and address issues. Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in civil engineering. Seek opportunities for professional growth and development through training and mentorship. Industry / Domain: Construction and Infrastructure Development. Necessary Knowledge and Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in civil engineering or related fields. Familiarity with project management processes and civil engineering design principles. Education and Certification Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. EIT (Engineer-in-Training) certification is preferred; professional engineering license (PE) is a plus. Job Specific and Technical Skills: Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration. Ability to manage tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
