Cost Control Engineer

Job Description

To analyze the requirements and specification of a project and determine the cost involved to launch such a project and to allow to use project budget efficiently and professionally.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Hold responsibility to control and monitor project total expenditure including verifying and checking of invoices and claims from suppliers, vendors and subcontractors to ensure that all project expenditures are captured and properly recorded.
Provide planning and cost controlling support for all projects which includes variation reporting, monitoring of milestone progress to the preparation of customer billing processes, etc.
Perform and manage project activity scheduling and monitoring and to perform technical and commercial review of tenders (subcontractor’s quotations) for the preparation of Service agreements.
Ensure effective project implementation and utilize productive reports from the creation of WBS with the use of project management system to monitor the status of all purchases, invoicing and delivery up to the closure of the project
Coordinate and work with the project management team to resolve project issues to ensure the delivery/completion of the project work.
Perform project costing related reporting to the team and management’s review on a monthly basis to ensure that expenditures are kept within the project budget.
Provide cost control and planning advice to the internal PMT team as and when required.
Undertake any other ad-hoc duties as required.
Prepare and manage cost control dashboard with required analysis & reporting.
Calculate and report Accruals and capitalization cost to Finance department.

Adhere strictly to all cybersecurity requirements while dealing with SASREF’s assets and data
Comply always with SASREF’s information security policies.
Performance Indicators
Reporting all suspicious emails including the phishing tests.
0 Failure to the phishing campaign tests.
100% Completion of the assigned cybersecurity awareness courses.
0 Cybersecurity violation or negative behavior.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with specialization in Project Management or Cost Control.
• PMI and AACE certification is preferred.
• Experience • Min 4 years relevant and similar capacity in project estimating and cost controlling
