General Manager

Job Description

The General Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This position is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, managing project execution, and ensuring that fit-out and design & build projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards. The General Manager will lead and mentor cross-functional teams, coordinate with clients and stakeholders, and drive business development initiatives in the local market. Daily tasks include monitoring financial performance, optimizing processes, enforcing health and safety standards, and aligning operational activities with the company’s strategic goals. The role also involves reporting to the company’s leadership on performance, risks, and opportunities, and representing the organization in key external meetings.

Requirements

• Proven leadership and people management skills, including team supervision, performance management, and cross-functional coordination.
• Strong project and operations management capabilities, ideally within construction, fit-out, or design & build environments.
• Solid financial and commercial acumen, with experience in budgeting, cost control, contract management, and profitability optimization.
• Excellent client relationship management, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to handle complex stakeholder needs.
• Knowledge of Saudi Arabia construction regulations, health and safety standards, and local market practices is highly advantageous.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced qualifications are a plus.
• Proven experience in a senior management role within construction or contracting companies, preferably in Riyadh or the wider Saudi market.
• Ability to work on-site full-time, make data-driven decisions, solve problems under pressure, and adapt to changing project requirements.
